I weigh in on the sale of Alberta's Banded Peak Brewing to Labatt/AB-InBev.  Why did they want a small Alberta brewery and what does it mean for craft beer in Alberta?

In April 2019, Sleeman Breweries, a subsidiary of Japan's Sapporo, announced that it was acquired Calgary's Wild Rose Brewery.
I keep an exhaustive database of every new beer I try and on August 18, 2018, I tried my 20,000th beer.  The beer community built a fundraiser around it and we raised over $20,000 for preschools for children with disabilities.  I even made the national news!
